Having Smelly Water Stinks.

Fix it with an all-natural, affordable solution from Advanced Water Treatment

There are typically two water contaminants that can cause your water to smell like sulfur or rotten eggs, one is Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) and the other is iron or sulfates.

H2S is a mineral that is released from the earth and finds its way into groundwater. It’s especially common in well water located near shale, sandstone, coal, peat, or oil.

Occasionally, a rotten-egg smell in your water could also be caused by a water heater or by sewage pollution in your water. If you’re on city water, the most likely explanation is your water heater.

The most important thing to note is that it is ALWAYS worthwhile to get your water tested as H2S poses a serious potential health risk including nausea, vomiting, and other serious health effects.

So how do you fix it?

Depending on the root cause of the issue there are affordable options available through Advanced Water Treatment. We offer professional water testing to determine the source of the smell. There’s no obligation to purchase equipment from us as our goal is to provide valuable information help you make the best decision for your home and family.

I did research and decided I wanted a full house water... purification on my 1933 home in Duluth. I called Advanced and Mark returned my call promptly. He came out for an assessment and was very knowledgeable, extremely pleasant and professional. We agreed for my home a charcoal system with an additional UV would cover all that I was looking to achieve. He was able to fit me in within a week. The installation went flawlessly. He did a miticulous job installing. It feels wonderful to have delicious, clean water throughout the house! I feel it is a great investment, will add home value and based on my previous experience very fairly priced.. I feel very comfortable that he will be great to work with moving forward for any questions or issues that may arise . The UV lights need to be replaced about once a year and charcoal filters 3-5yrs. He also is able to do any water testing so great for knowledge up front before deciding on system needs and also ongoing to make sure quality is maintained. Highly recommend Mark if you are looking to improve your water quality and want a great experience with the process.read more

We recently moved into the Duluth area and built a home,... but our builder neglected/refused to install the water softener that we paid for in our purchase agreement, which necessitated us to look for and have a softener installed. One of the vendors suggested Mark from Advanced Water Treatment. Spoke to Mark and he got us quickly scheduled. Mark arrived on-time and did a nice job from the install to cleaning up after completion. Pricing was fair and we have full confidence in the quality of the product installed as well as any potential future service we may need. Highly recommend Advanced Water Treatment for their quality and professionalism.read more
